A poem. A pattern. A prayer.
Created from the heart. A compilation of text and imagery from my sketchbooks overlayed with archeological images of holding hands. A new medium to share what I see and feel as we traverse the mapless together.
Inspired by contemplations on wholeness. A response to division and contrast within us and our world. Seeking and expressing perspectives that ease, elevate, and expand our view of what is happening and who we are, as awareness embodied.
The philosophy “coincidentia oppositorum” speaks to the idea that opposites are interconnected due to the way each is defined in relation to the other. Heaven and Earth inform the existence of the other.
In Chinese cosmology the timeless symbol of yin-yang describes an opposite but interconnected, self-perpetuating cycle. This image can be thought of as complementary and at the same time opposing forces that interact to form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the assembled parts and the parts are important for cohesion of the whole. Originating from the state of undifferentiated absolute and infinite potential, the oneness before duality.
It is here that I find peace. It is from this place I create, pray, and walk. It is from here that I offer this to you.
